AMACU sweeps Ateneo, claims Seaoil jr title

-

MANILA, Philippines - AMA Computer University re-asserted its mastery over Ateneo, 71-48, to complete a sweep for the inaugural Seaoil-NBTC Jr. Elite League basketball crown at the Xavier University gym over the weekend.

Christian Tanedo fired 24 points while Benjho Maximo buried six triples and ended up with 20 markers as the AMACU cagers grounded the Blue Eaglets to cap their domination of the event.

AMA whipped Ateneo, 73-63, in the series’ opener of the tournament organized and supervised by the National Basketball Training Center for grade school players 12-and-under.

Tanedo went on to cop the league’s Most Outstanding Player in the finals. He also made it to the Mythical first team, joining Miguel Alfonso Santos and Ray Rogil Benedict Carlos of La Salle-Greenhills, Xavier Jorvina of Ateneo and Richmond Sedric King of Chiang Kai Shek, who was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the Season.
