Binay guest in UE Go Global golf tourney
MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East Alumni Association, Inc. (UEAAI) will hold a golf tournament on May 27 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club with a mix of local and foreign-based UE alumni golfers seeing action.
The tournament is part of the three-day activities for the second UE family global reunion, dubbed “UE Go Global – UE Alumni Global Homecoming 2012,” slated May 25-26 at the Marriott Hotel and Resorts World, and May 27 at the WWGCC.
Vice President Jejomar Binay will be the guest of honor and speaker during the Gala Night and the UE Alumni Global Lualhati Awards.
Tournament committee chair is Gen. Dioscoro Yoro Jr. (ret.).
Stradcom president and CEO Cezar Quiambao, UEAAI Global Homecoming 2012 executive committee chair, UEAAI president Commodore Renato Chan, PCRGA, and UE marketing executive director and UEAAI adviser Jesus Tanchanco Sr. are inviting all members of the UE family – graduates, past and present UE administrators, employees, faculty member and students – to join the international UE family gathering.
Attendees will have options to enjoy the occasion. On Day 1, a P1,500 entrance fee entitles one to a wellness seminar-workshop and a continuing professional education seminar served with lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks. A P1,500 contribution is for the Welcome Night in Filipino fiesta-ambiance served with dinner and music by internationally acclaimed performers.
On Day 2, a P2,000 fee is good for the Gala Night with dinner, music by internationally acclaimed performers and dancing with expert dance instructors.
Day 3 gives one a chance to join a golf tournament or the Metro Manila and provincial tours.
Golf participants will tee off at 1 p.m. Registration opens at 11 a.m.
The golf tournament also serves as a culminating activity for the global UE alumni gathering.
Awards will be given to the top three winners and the fun holes – nearest to the pin on no. 3, longest drive on no. 6, most accurate and nearest to the pin on no. 14.
