Top breeders lead NCA derby roster

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance kicks off its series of derbies this month with a blockbuster event tonight with the country’s leading cockers and breeders fielding in their toughest entries at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. 

Mayor Cesar Dy and Councilor Marvin Rillo head the guest list going up against the NCA members, led by Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Ellan Nagaño, Rene Medina, Bebot Uy, Jun Topacio, James Uy, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling, Manny Santos, Armand Santos, Patrick Antonio, Gerry Ramos, Jun Santiago, and Gov. Ito Ynares.

Others joining the event, hosted by Gov. Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Ruel Ricafort, and Boy Valenzuela and sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor are Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza, Charlie Ang, Joel Teves, Danny Teves, Mario Villamor, Henry Tan, George Torres, Claude Bautista, and Boyet Joson.

Meanwhile, the battle for the NCA Cocker of the Year award also heats up with Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olaño’s Ika sa Pasay showing the way with 49 ½ points.

Half-a-point behind is Jade Resort 2 of Manny and Arman Santos followed by CPB JGT AAO of George Torres and Claude Bautista (41 points), MBJ of Mayor Boyet Joson (40) and Sagupaan National of the famous Cong. Patrick Antonio (39).
