MANILA, Philippines - The Batangas Racing Circuit plays host to the much-awaited return of motorcycle racing via three premier events – 2012 Philippine Underbone King, the 2012 Philippine Scooter Racing Championships and the 2012 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Championships – all kicking off April 22.
The Underbone and Scooters Racing Association (USRA) approved the staging of both underbone and scooter racing series with the support of FDR as the official tires of both events.
The 2012 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Championships, on the other hand, is sanctioned by Superbikes Racing Association (SBRA) with Bridgestone as the official superbikes tires.
Golden Wheel Awardee and defending underbone king Anthony Roman aims for a back-to-back crown in the 2012 Philippine Underbone King Championships where riders clash for the titles in the 115cc Novice/Beginner, the 115cc Open, the 130cc Open and the premier 150cc Open crowns.
Promising teener Dashi Watanabe, also a Golden Wheel awardee and defending scooters champion, is also eyeing his second straight diadem in the 2012 Philippine Scooter Racing Championships where participants vie for honors in the 130cc, 160cc and the premier 180cc divisions.
Discounted entry fees will be given to novice and beginner riders in both the underbone and scooter events.
Competitors in the 2012 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Championships will dispute the titles in the 400cc Novice, 400cc Expert, Superbikes Novice/Beginner, Superbikes Intermediate, Superbikes Masters and the Superbikes Open classes.
