MANILA, Philippines – Anacorita “Coring” Aldea Gonzales, mother of Ernie Gonzales of the Inquirer sports desk, passed away Monday in Malilipot, Albay, after a lingering illness.
She would have turned 86 on May 8.
She is survived by her children and their spouses – Ernie and Yollie, Eddie, Arnold and Baby, Lydia and Boy Velasco, Francis, Jun and Josie, Ric and Leng, Sonia and Leo Jimenez and Elmer and Jean, 24 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Interment at the Malilipot Catholic cemetery will be announced later.
