Greg Norman launches Dakak golf course

MANILA, Philippines - Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman arrives today in his private plane to formally launch the Greg Norman signature golf course at Dakak Beach Resort in Dapitan City in Mindanao.

Norman, dubbed the Great White Shark and two-time British Open champion and winner of 91 pro events around the world, including 20 US PGA Tour titles, will hold a press conference at 7:30 tonight at Manila B, Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Others expected to grace the launch are noted golf personalities and representatives from Dakak Beach Resort.

Norman will fly to Dakak tomorrow to personally visit Dakak Resort and formally start the project.

While his well-documented wins on the golf course secured him a spot in the World Golf Hall of Fame, Norman continues to work at both his game and a business that promises to succeed long after his playing days are behind him.

He has devoted much of his time to golf course design and established the Greg Norman Golf Course Design in 1987. GNGCD has completed more than 70 golf courses on six continents, including the Norman layout at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Cavite.
