MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East (UE), through its Department of Physical Education, is launching the UE Summer Sports Clinic and Wellness Program April 17 to May 18, with choices in arnis, basketball, elementary ballet, fencing, and taekwondo.
Seasoned coaches and trainers will teach children the basics and skills in these sports. The clinics are also open to children of faculty members and UE employees as well as non-UE personnel.
Aerobics exercise and ballroom dancing comprise the UE wellness program, conducted every Friday, starting April 20 at the UE Manila and UE Caloocan campuses.
Aimed at promoting the wellbeing of faculty members and employees of UE, to stay healthy and fit, the UE wellness program is handled by experienced instructors.
“This wellness program will go on after this summer, dependent on demand,” said UE PE OIC and assistant director Rod Roque.
