MANILA, Philippines - Brothers Edwin and Edison Cayco of H3 Autoworks humbled their fancied rivals as they scored separate victories in the second leg of the 2012 Philippine Drag Racing Championships Northern Series at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga recently.
Edwin captured the M&H Super Pro class crown and finished second in Quick 8 while Edison clinched the M&H Pro crown. They credited H3 Autoworks tuner Bong Hilario who did a good job setting up their Honda Integra for their victories that put them in contention for the overall crown.
The Caycos, whose campaign is backed by Rurex Turbocharger Specialist, Edmel Engineering Services, Bong Hilario H3 Autoworks, RDJ Tuning Solutions, Southice Production and Autoplus-Motul/ Dyno Testing, hope to repeat their feats in the second leg of the series tomorrow at the Batangas Racing Circuit Drag Strip.
Edwin admits he’s an underdog after losing the Quick 8 in 10.992 seconds to former US serviceman Bill Hand whose V8 muscle car posted a consistent fast time of 10.278 seconds.
Another H3 Autoworks bet Jackson Go bagged third place honors in the expert class.
