In This Corner on PTV-4

MANILA, Philippines - Rod Nazario’s In This Corner salutes newly crowned World Boxing Council (WBC) flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro with excerpts of his five special fights in tonight’s episode over PTV-4.

Jaro’s 2004 bout with Larry Mede for the Philippine light-flyweight title kicks off the 7-8 p.m. weekly show, presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), and Petron.

Similar fights for the same title features Jaro versus Alfred Nagal (2007), and against Julius Alcos (2007).

The closely fought 2008 Orient Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) light-flyweight championship between Jaro and Along Dinoy in Palawan comes next, before the long-time boxing show on primetime caps the night with the Jaro-Armand Dela Cruz 2010 title match for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Pan-Pacific light-flyweight crown.
