MANILA, Philippines - A golfing holiday in the United States will be up for grabs as grand raffle prize in the fifth Summit Point Invitational, the member-guest golf tournament of the Summit Point Golf and Country Club firing off today in Lipa, Batangas.
Adding to the excitement of the awarding ceremony at the completion of the 18-hole competition presented by Summit Point Realty is that the partner of the player who will win the US holiday will also get a 32-inch LG LCD.
Two hundred players or a hundred member-guest pairs are vying for honors in the tournament sponsored by Callaway, J & W Golflinks, Inc., Lemans, Summit Point Realty, Aqua Haus, Microtel, Phil Han Ma Dang (Korean Restaurant), Asia Brewery, The Turf Co., Playboy Philippines, Smart, Rizgolf and Alveo.
Summit Point president Robbie Leviste and Summit Point project director Wini Gob will join members and their guests as well as sponsor representatives in the event which will have two shotgun tee-offs at 6 a.m. and at 12 noon.
Hole-in-one prizes designated on various par-3s of the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed course include a new model Callaway golf set, P50,000 cash from New Canaan Insurance, P30,000 worth of gift certificates from Pancake House, Ambassador Watch (Limited Edition) from Meister and Vespa Scooter from the Autohub Group.
To be disputed are the overall championship, the lowest gross title and the top three places in four different divisions, according to Summit Point general manager James Balagtas.
