Erase Plantcenta upbeat in D-League
MANILA, Philippines - With a merry mix of veterans and rookies, Erase Plantcenta is ready to mix it up with the big guns and hopes to make an immediate impact right on its debut in the PBA D-League which fires off Tuesday.
“The chemistry is almost there so we are confident and ready to challenge the big guns,” said team owner Marc Gamboa.
John Melegrito, Mark Acosta, Mark Sarangay, Roland del Rio, Jayvee Ferreria, Jason Pascual and Jetterson Vidal are expected to provide the experience and leadership for the team with support to come from Andrettimari Maguigad Stevens, Marlon Gomez, John Daniel Flores, John Angelo Lascunas, Mark Philip Santos Dela Cruz, Robert Jan Faundo, Eldrigde Biralde Corpuz and Bishop Tabago Torres.
This early, Gamboa is already looking forward for a decent showing like the first time their family ventured into the whitening business.
Erase Plantcenta, according to Gamboa, is now one of the leading whitening brands in the market. And with its entry in the PBA D-League, he believes they can reach an ever wider audience and at the same time help in sports development in the country.
“We want to be associated with a champion league and that is the D-League,” said Gamboa. “We see a huge opportunity in the league and we also want to inform the public about the wonders of plantcenta and what it could do to their skin.”
While Garcia admits that his team, handled by coach Yong Garcia, lacks ceiling, they hope to make for this with determination and hard work.
“We just have to work as a team and give our best in every game as most of our players have played in past conferences here in the D-League,” said Garcia. “The strength of the team is our defense, outside shooting and speed.”
