Young fencers, veterans clash tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - The Vicious Brainiac Fencing will hold the “VBF Recreational-Veterans Gladiators’ Cup 2012” tomorrow at the ULTRA fencing hall.

“This tournament is unique as we are targeting those aspiring school fencers out to make a name for themselves, as well as getting back former college varsity players from the UAAP and ex-national team fencers,” said Peter So, head of VBF. 

All male and female fencers, aged 15 years old and above, are vying in the tournament except for UAAP varsity fencers for the past two seasons, and current members of the Philippine national team.

The event, co-presented by Pinoy Fitness.com and WhenInManila.com and sanctioned by the Philippine Fencing Association, is backed by Vitwater, Pocari Sweat sports energy drink, Unilever, maker of Close Up, Rexona, Dove, Axe, Surf, etc., Kopiko coffee candy and Energen cereal drink.
