Nepomuceno bags ABC-Boysen Open
MANILA, Philippines - Hall of Famer Paeng Nepomuceno annexed his 125th career victory as he ruled the Architects Bowling Club-Boysen Open Classic tournament’s Masters final at E Lanes in Greenhills in San Juan City last Sunday.
Biboy Rivera placed second, while Frederick Ong, Paulo Valdez and Ceasar Muere finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in Group I Masters finals of the nine-day tournament sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Lara Posadas took the all ladies Masters crown, beating Liza Clutario in the final game. Susan San Diego, Apple Posadas and May Sabater placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Ronald Bautista of QCBA defused Noknok Gerochi to cop the Group 2 Masters crown while Rodel Bagohin, Eugene Panaguiton and Miko Cabazor finished third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Recipients of Perfect Game 300 were Ong (10K), Eric Aranez (5K), Rivera (2.5K), Jeremy Posadas and Nepomuceno (1K) each.
Panaguiton captured the Group 3 Masters title by defeating Robert Olete in the final. Boyet Libiran, Kathlyn Ong and Lina Labaguis finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
The tournament, backed by Nation Titan, Boysen Knoxout/Perlecente/Suede, Spurway Enterprises, Philflex Wires and Cables, Crown Pipes, Fredcor Sashwork, Coach Concepts, Steeltech, Brain Audio-Visual, Multi-folds, DDT Konstruct, Guangco Marbles, La Vida Verde, JS Alvarez Const., Kum Kang Ceramics, Aquarius Builders, BRIO Window, Villarey Trading, Web Forge Ind., AIDEA Architects and Duraflex Wires and Cables, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the Sponsors Cup, also at E Lanes.
