Circuit Showdown series kicks off Saturday

-

MANILA, Philippines - Circuit Showdown starts its eight-leg series on Saturday with a slew of newcomers and those out to make their mark in racing vying for top honors at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

According to series organizer and touring/formula car champion Enzo Pastor, everyone is welcome to join the event also held to provide support to drivers seeking spots in the national series.

“We are expecting the widest range of cars from Skyline’s to Picantos,” said Jules Arambulo, a Toyota AE86 owner. “It’s good to join the circuit showdown with Enzo overseeing the practice. One also doesn’t need a fast car to become a champion.”

Meanwhile, the GT Radial Challenge has been added to the time attack portion of the event, including the Champion of Champions race. Competitors can accumulate championship points throughout the series, giving them a chance to win rims, tires, shock absorbers and much more. An AMB timing system will be utilized to provide accurate lap times and faster turnarounds for up to 150 competitors.
