MANILA, Philippines - A heavy eight-game bill, featuring teams in the Super Division, kicks off the 19th Pangaea Cup International Slo-pitch Softball tournament at the Clark Field Parade Grounds on Friday in Clark Field, Pampanga.
Cebuana Lhuillier opens its title-retention drive against Fattboyz at 1 p.m. and will play the Hong Kong Turkeys side at 2:30 p.m.
First game on tap in Field 1 pits Fattboyz against China Reds while the Guzzlers face local team Entom Tigers in Field 2 at 10 a.m.
The Guzzlers play their second game against club team Blackouts from Shanghai while Entom meets the Saigon Sundays in the competition sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Cebuana Lhuillier, San Miguel Beer, Coca-Cola Bottlers, and Clark Development Corp.
Also on tap in Field 1 will have the China Reds playing the Hong Kong Turkeys at 1 p.m. simultaneously with the Cebuana Lhuillier-Fattboyz game.
Over at Field 2, the Blackouts take on the Saigon Sundays in the three-day tournament backed by Greenlight, Tequila Reef Cantina, Smokey’s and Outbox.
Also seeing action in the event, organized by Pureplay Sports, are club teams Meralco, Taipei Kings, Cocobay Stigrays and the Singapore River Rats.
