MANILA, Philippines - Roy Docyogen stakes his unbeaten record as he slugs it out with Rodel Orais in the Colt 45-URCC Baguio 4 tomorrow at the Baguio Convention Center in Baguio.
The 5-foot-5 Docyogen, the winningest fighter of Lakay Wushu, has been installed the odds-on favorite in the Superfight – the featured match in the 10-fight card presented by Colt 45 and sponsored by Chris Sports and Bulls Gloves.
The reigning URCC pinweight champion is coming off a nine-win romp and the Baguio City pride is determined to extend his remarkable streak against the former WBC contender.
Aside from his four knockout wins, Docyogen is also ranked world No. 32 in the flyweight division by the Fight Matrix website – a rating that is also a big concern for Orais, who has only URCC fights so far.
The co-main event is the fight between rookie Christian Gazmin and Melchor Cases of Strikes Unlimited.
The event, which has Solar Sports and Z Radio as media partners, is held as part of the Panagbenga Festival (Flower Festival of Baguio and Cordilleras) celebrations.
Another local fighter to watch is Arnold Agapito, who is going for the vacant URCC featherweight title against Davao’s Ricardo Sapno.
Other fights pit Baguio-based Will Chope of Phuket Top Team against Red Romero, Egly Diaz vs. Miguel Alo, Jerson Estoro vs Onyok Transmonte (TBC), Keiif Mangusan vs Roldan Cartajena, Guzman Piayas vs Charles De Tomas, Kevin Yongaan vs Nicolo Espadero, Lito Adiwang vs Bioyondi Divandangan and Ranel Tangguiyac vs MJ Abrillo.
