Segui, Martinez rule ABC bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Buddy Segui of Emerald Vinyl produced a six-game series of 1353 to capture the Group I crown while Ricky Martinez of Famcor bagged the Group 2 plum with a 1056 in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at E Lanes at Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Noel del Rosario of Boysen Perlecente carded a 1272, Hermi Prudente of Eurodach had a 1264 and Manny Padit of Philflex Cables made a 1263 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I of the weekly tournament sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Bert Magsakay of Homeworks scored 1009, Greg Mare of August Alliance rolled 992 while Vic Sison of Concrete Ventures had 982 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Ever Rabata annexed the monthly crown in the ABC Davao City Chapter monthly championship at B3 Bowling Center, NCCC Mall, Davao City last week. Nenia Colico placed second, Ericson Europa finished third while James Magdadaro and Francis Hidalgo wound up fourth and fifth, respectively.

Meanwhile, the ABC board is inviting everyone to join the ABC-Boysen Open Classic tournament on Feb. 25 to March 4, also at E Lanes, as the club braces for its 35th founding anniversary.

The tournament, backed by Supreme Steel Pipes, Morning Sun, Pro Active Pest Control, HCG Phils., Miraga, Crown Pipes, Boysen Knoxout/Suede, Firefly-Royu, Philflex Wires, Unitec Pipes, Duraflex TW/THHN/THW Wires, ABC Phils., DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, La Vida Verde, Wekonstruct and Mozzaico resumes at 6:30 tonight with the holding of Sponsors Cup, also at E Lanes.
