NCA derby lures top sportsmen

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds another top-notch derby today with the country’s leading breeders fighting it out at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Heading the cast in the event, hosted by Jun Topacio, James Uy, Eugene Martin, and Luding Boongaling, are NCA members Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Mayor Elan Nagaño, Rene Medina, Bebot Uy, Manny and Armand Santos, Patrick Antonio, Gerry Ramos, the Firefly Group, Gov. Ito Ynares, Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza; Charlie Ang, Joel and Danny Teves, the first NCA Cocker of the Year Mario Villamor, Ramon Mancenares, Rudy Albano, Jimmy Ang, Efren Canlas and JIMAFER, Junjun Salazar, T. Sevilla, JR Tolentino, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Gov. JJ Suarez, Eddie Gonzales, Ricky Valencia, Boy Torres, George Torres, Claude Bautista and Boyet Joson.

Also in the fold are special guests Tady Palma, Mayor Glen Eduarte, Bong Pineda, Cong. Unabia, Rolly Bautista and Gov. Damian Mercado.

The event also serves as a fund-raiser with part of the proceeds going to a scholarship fund for college students. At present, the NCA sponsors four Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture major in Poultry Science students at UP Los Baños.
