MANILA, Philippines - Joan Mendoza of Supreme Steel Pipes Corp. waxed hot with a six-game series of 1360 to capture the Group I crown while Tony Sabater of Boysen Knoxout pocketed the Group 2 title with a 1070 in the opening game of the Architects Bowling Club’s singles event at E Lanes, Ortigas Ave. in Greenhills, San Juan last week.
Jerry Cham of Boysen Perlecente rolled 1264 to place second while Romi de Jesus of Wekonstruct had 1247 for third in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Bert Magsakay of La Vida Verde submitted a 1049 to finish second while Miguel Domingo of Duraflex THW Wires made a 1048 for third in Group 2.
Meanwhile, ABC president Ronnie Javier is inviting all registered architects to join the event held every Tuesday at E Lanes as ABC braces for its 35th founding anniversary with a club overseas trip to Beijing in May.
The tournament, backed by Mozzaico, Boysen Suede, Nations Titans, Philflex Wires and Cables, Crown Pipes Supreme, Duraflex THHN/TW Wires, Emerald Pipes, Homeworks, Moldex Pipes, DN Steel, ABC Phl, Unitec Pipes, Firefly-Royu, Eurodach Roofing, Crown PVC Pipes, Miraga, HCG Phl, Concrete Ventures, ProActive Pest Control, Famcor Glassworks, Morning Sun and August Alliance, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the first Boysen Cup I Group Doubles event, also at E Lanes.
