MANILA, Philippines - The second Mayor Del de Guzman Golf Classic tournament will be held Friday at the Valley Golf Club in Antipolo with the event hopes to raise funds for various projects of the Rotary Club of Marikina, the Philippine Constructors Association Marivalley and the Marikina Golfers Association.
Registration is on-going with fee pegged at P2,500 for non-members and P1,500 for members in the individual competition and P2,000 for team play.
Events on tap are Class A (0-12), Class B (13-20), Class C (21-28) and Class D (29-up), and the ladies, celebrities and seniors (55-64 years old) and (65 years old and-above) divisions.
The tournament, to be played under the System 36 format, aims to support the city’s Children with Disability projects and other community service activities of the Rotary Club of Marikina, according to organizing committee chair Noel Flores and Vice Mayor Jose Fabian Cadiz.
The event is also held in conjunction with the 49th birthday celebrations of Mayor Del de Guzman, also the current president of the Rotary Club of Marikina.
The event is presented by Sta. Clara International Corp. and the Philippine Veterans Bank in cooperation with the San Guillermo Construction and Trading, M-Tri-R Construction, Restoserve, Bell Construction and Dr. Francisco Efre.
