MANILA, Philippines - Banking on the car’s consistency and racing excellence, the five-man Team Trackhos came up with an impressive run that earned him an overall runner-up finish in the Philippine Endurance Cup recently at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
Despite early exhaust problems and weird weather conditions throughout the day, the quintet of Gibson Yu, Leo San Juan, Quincy Buenaflor, Anton Zuzuarregui and John Asuncion chipped in consistent lap times with minimal errors in the action-packed, six-hour event dubbed as “6 na oras ng Pilipinas.”
Driving a SR20VE-powered, race-prepped Nissan Sentra prepared and crewed by a team from Nissan Commonwealth led by crew chief Raymond Salcedo, Team Trackhos completed a total of 143 laps or just six laps off the eventual winner.
“It was a great experience. We couldn’t have made it this far without the big support of Nissan Commonwealth and its hardworking crew,” said Asuncion.
The team was backed up by Nissan Commonwealth, Hi-Quality Lubes- distributors of Elf-Total Oils, Ziebart Tidycar, Recaro and TitanWorks.
