Olivarez takes crack at twin titles

MANILA, Philippines - Eric Olivarez Jr. battled back from a set down to stun top seed Calvin Canlas, 1-6, 6-1, 6-0, and barge into the finals of the boys’ 18-and-under division as he stayed on track of a two-title romp in the 23rd Andrada Cup Group I tennis tournament at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center yesterday.

Olivarez struck back after a sloppy first set stint, surprising Canlas with a wide array of shots to dominate the next two sets and arrange a title duel with the winner between Christian San Andres-Gonzales in the premier category.
