-

MANILA, Philippines - KidzHoops, a mini-league basketball program that has produced current superstars in the UAAP and NCAA, launches its ninth season this month, with a second venue to open in Lucena.

Registration for the first conference will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 15 with leveling games at the league’s old home, the RFM gym on Pioneer St., Mandaluyong.

Then on Jan. 21, KidzHoops will open its first provincial outing in Lucena. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. at the Inigo Sports Complex.

As a true supporter of the “children’s right to play”, basketball director Eva Celestino said the basketball tournament is open to all boys and girls, experienced and beginner players alike, from 8 to 14 years old.

All participants are assured of four league games and a final match to be officiated by certified referees and table officials from UP-CHK. Medals and special awards can be earned.
