Reyes, Wu duel in PBB Face-Off tonite
MANILA, Philippines - Pool legend Efren “Bata” Reyes and Wu Jia Qing renew their rivalry as they clash tonight in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face-Off series at the Airport Pagcor Casino in Parañaque City.
The race-to-9, 10-ball duel is set at 9 p.m. and aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34. The match can be viewed through live streaming at www.megasportsworld.com and www.philippinebigtimebilliards.com.
The winner gets $5,000.
“I trained hard for this match so I can give a good show for pool fans,” said Reyes, the 1999 WPA World 9-ball and 2004 WPA World 8-ball champion.
But the Filipino icon faces a tough test against Wu, the 2005 WPA World 9-ball and 2005 WPA World 8-ball champion who is now playing for China.
Wu edged Reyes, 9-8, in the quarterfinal round of 11th Predator International 10-Ball Championship last September.
