MANILA, Philippines - Academy of God’s Children (AGC) and De La Salle-Lipa (DLL) fashioned out one-sided victories to close in on the semifinal berths in boys’ Pool B while a four-way fight looms in Pool A in the Toby’s Junior Volleyball League at the Toby’s Arena in Pasig last weekend.

The AGC tossers dominated the Elizabeth Seton School (ESS) side, 25-7, 25-15, then blasted the Harrel Horne IS (HHS) squad, 25-11, 25-8, to stretch its win run to four while the Lipa-based spikers outhit ESS, 25-8, 25-9, for a 3-0 slate in Pool B of the tournament sponsored by Toby’s Sports and organized by Metro Sports.

Concepcion Elem. School (CES) and Palanan Elem. School (PES) remained tied in the lead in boys’ Pool A with 3-0 cards but St. Jerome Emiliani Institute (SJE) and Colegio San Agustin (CSA) remain in the hunt with 3-1 and 2-1 marks, respectively.
