LS-Zobel girls open title defense, beat UST side

MANILA, Philippines - La Salle-Zobel beat UST, 25-22, 25-19, 25-13, to kick off its title-retention campaign in the UAAP Season 74 girls’ volleyball tournament at the University of the East (UE) Caloocan Gym over the weekend.

UE, on the other hand, went 2-0 early in the season following a 25-10, 25-13, 25-19, 25-16 victory over National University and a 25-22, 25-15, 25-22 win over University of the Philippines Integrated School also over the weekend.

In boys’ volleyball, defending seven-time champion UE also scored back-to-back victories over UPIS, 25-9, 25-12, 25-6, and Ateneo, 25-9, 25-12, 25-16.

The NU Bullpups are also 2-0 with victories over the Junior Archers, 25-14, 25-13, 25-12, and the Tiger Cubs, 25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 25-16.
