Django faces Peach in PBB tonite

MANILA, Philippines - Francisco “Django” Bustamante vows to go all out against fellow world 9-ball champion Daryl Peach of Britain as they clash tonight in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series at Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.

The race-to-9, 10-ball affair is set at 9 a.m. with Bustamante hard-pressed to come up with a win and finally stop the foreign bets’ domination of the series.

German ace Ralf Souquet beat Dennis Orcollo and Carlo Biado at the start of the series while Peach nipped Ronnie Alcano in last week’s third leg of the series organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp. The match is aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34 with live streaming on www.starbilliards.com.ph.

Other backers of the event are Airport Casino Filipino, Crown Sound System Sakura Amplifiers and Home Theater Systems, Malungai Life Oil, Diamond Billiard Table, Hermes Sports Bar, I-Bar, Golden Leaf Restaurant, Bugsy Promotions, Billiards Managers and Players Association of the Philippines (BMPAP) with The Philippine Star as official media partner.

Meanwhile, Yang Ching Shun of Chinese-Taipei is set to face Lee Vann Corteza on Dec. 3 and Orcollo on Dec. 10, while Chang Jung Lin of Chinese-Taipei takes Roberto Gomez on Dec. 17 and Alcano on Dec. 23.

Wu Chia Ching of China and Efren “Bata” Reyes collide on Dec. 30.
