Fore by Four invt'l under way at Eagle Ridge
MANILA, Philippines - Three units of the Toyota Vios, the country’s best-selling car, will be up for grabs in the Fore By Four Invitational, the member-guest tournament of the giant Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite, which will be played today and tomorrow.
Two of the Toyota Vios sedans will be raffled off to a member and his partner in the 36-hole event’s awarding ceremony, a unique feature of the tourney played annually at the four championship courses of the country’s biggest golf club. The third will serve as a hole-in-one prize on designated holes.
Another unique feature is that all 400 players seeing action will be playing in similar conditions unlike the other member-guest tourneys which are usually stretched to four or six days to accommodate more entries. Eagle Ridge is the only club, which can complete a major club competition in the least number of days due to its four-course setup.
The event presented by Sta. Lucia Realty and Dev’t Corp. and Alsons Land Corp. is supported by Toyota Balintawak, LG Electronics, PacSports, Asia Brewery, Medical Center Muntinlupa, Inc., East Asia, G&W Club Shares, Golf En Sky Travel & Tours, Inc., Grantrail, Koosoondang, Microtel, Philippine Airlines, PhilGreen, San Miguel, Purefoods, Segye Master Travel Corp., Srixon, WGC Golf and RizGolf.
Players in the men’s Class A and C will compete in the Norman and Dye courses while those in the men’s Class B and D and ladies categories will tackle the Faldo and Aoki courses.
