MANILA, Philippines - Big Chill goes for its third straight win and a share of the lead as it takes on winless DUB Unlimited today at resumption of action in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig.
But despite their big disparity in the standing, the Superchargers remain wary of the Wheelers in their 4 p.m. encounter.
“Although DUB (Unlimited) has yet to win a game, that doesn’t mean they can’t play,” said Big Chill coach Arsenio Dysangco.
A victory by Big Chill will keep it alongside Cebuana Lhuillier and Freego Jeans, who stopped Blackwater last week to gain a share of the lead.
RnW Pacific Pipes, meanwhile, tries to even its card at 2-2 as it clashes with Café France, also winless in two starts, in the 2 p.m. opener.
The top two teams after the single-round elimination gain automatic semis berths while the next four squads advance to the quarterfinals.
“They (Wheelers) beat us in our pre-season game. They are very dangerous team that has been consistently improving every game. So we are definitely leaving no stone unturned in our preparation against them,” said Dysangco.
