Chan fires record 64 at Eagle Ridge
MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo 2 spearhead Aidric Chan fired a series record eight-under-par 64 gross to ensure another victory by his team in Midgets 2 even as the battle between La Salle Greenhills 5 and La Salle Zobel for Midgets 1 remained tight in the second leg of the ICTSI Inter-school golf tournament at the Aoki course of the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite.
Chan made an eagle, eight birdies to more than offset a double-bogey for 62 points under the Molave system of scoring. With the 54 points of his cousin Carl Jano Corpus, Ateneo 2 chalked up 116 for a 36-hole total of 206 and a whopping 66-point advantage over Ateneo 3 in the penultimate round of the school season series.
