Bondad cops Ladies European tour leg title

MANILA, Philippines - Frances Bondad, a former member of the national team, closed out with an eagle-aided 67 to win the Sanya Ladies Open of the Ladies European Tour at the Yalong Bay Golf Club in China yesterday.

Bondad, the 2004 Philippine amateur winner now playing for Australia, birdied the final hole to edge erstwhile leader Vikki Laing, who had a 68, by one with an 11-under 205 aggregate for her maiden victory. Laing settled for a 206.

She won euro 30,0000.

Jennifer Rosales, the two-time LPGA winner, made a 73 and ended up in joint 38th at 217 after a 73.
