Adobo Run after Dark listup deadline set

MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the second Adobo Run after Dark 2011 is on-going and will end Oct. 23 with organizers targeting over 5,000 runners to take part in the novel night footrace firing off Oct. 29.

Events on tap are the 3K, 5K and 15K set at the Aseana Business Park, Bay City, Pasay, Parañaque near the Mall of Asia. Listup is up at R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street, Toby’s EDSA Shangri-La Mall, and Runnr Trinoma while online listup can also be made at www.adoborun.runningmate.ph.

Billed as a pre-Halloween event of the year, the event is put up by adobo Magazine, the premier publication for the advertising and marketing industry, and sponsored by Manila Beer, Meralco, McDonald’s, Pocari Sweat, My Phone, St. Luke’s Medical Center, Soleus and Studio 58.

Call time for all categories is at 7 p.m. with the 15K to be flagged off at 8:10 p.m., 5K at 8:20 p.m. and 3K at 8:30 p.m., according to the organizing Crush Communications with Edward Kho as race director.

There will be no gun start but samba percussionists, fire breathers, zip and salsa dancers commencing the event which will have an after-run party starting at 10 p.m. with live band music, sideline bazaar, performers on stilts, and Cosplayers in fantasy costumes to treat participants and the crowd.
