MANILA, Philippines - Over 1,200 participants from the National Capital Region are expected to compete in the “Nikki Coseteng Cup,” the Diliman Preparatory School-Quezon City (DPS-QC) Age-Group Taekwondo Championships slated Oct.16.
Expected to lead the tournament are DPS bets Janin Keith Marcaida, Jana Lyde Razon and Jay-Ar Alombro Sr. who are also bidding for a chance to represent the country at the fourth Chicago Int’l Taekwondo Winter Games in Illinois in November.
The Philippine delegation to Chicago will be headed by Coseteng and coached by Nap Dagdagan Jr.
Other young athletes competing are Amber Acosta, Charizza Alombro, Raymundo Alombro, JE Averie Belsonda, Elijah Buencamino, Guillano De Dios, Jerome De Guzman, Justin De Jesus, Marco Dela Cruz, James Flores, Karlos Gaerlan, Keonn Gener, Gabriel Lamarca, Janin Marcaida, Robert Pangilinan, Charmaine Ragutana, Johanna Razon, Marigold Taculog, Lord Renzo Toleos and Vince Yango.
