Baby Saints advance to NAASCU semis

-

MANILA, Philippines - The St. Clare Baby Saints placed third in the quarterfinals and advanced to the semifinal of the 11th NAASCU or only the second time since 2007.

“I’m very proud of my players, they’re playing well even though they’re very young compared to their opponents,” said head coach Mark Herrera, also the head coach of the 5-peat Jr PBA Quezon City team.

The Baby Saints will be facing either University of Manila or Fatima School but Herrera is confident that his team, supported by team owner and SBP treasurer Ernesto Jay Adalem, will perform well in the semis.

“I always believe in my players even though almost 80 percent of them are rookies and young. Good defense wins games,” said Herrera, who is assisted by Benjie Diswe, Edwin Ancheta and Andrew Magandi.
