Former SEAG swim medalist joins Speedo roster

MANILA, Philippines - Rene “Guy”Concepcion, head swim coach of the De La Salle University Green Tankers, the Corinthian Ducks and a number of top rated triathletes, has signed a Speedo Philippines roster of elite coaches.

Concepcion was nee of the top swimmers along Lee Concepcion, Akiko Thomson and Eric Buhain who represented the country in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He also won one gold, five silvers and four bronzes in three SEA Games.

As a top caliber coach he has developed swimming aces namely Johann Aguilar, LC Langit, and Enchong Dee to name a few.

 “We are happy to have coach Guy on board. He’s a great addition to the team and a real brand Ambassador. Swimmers and triathletes alike look up to him as a coach,” vice president for operations, Manish Mahtani said during the contract-signing at the brand’s flagship store in Bonifacio High Street.
