MANILA, Philippines - Hostilities in the 27th Milo Little Olympics-National Capital Region will resume this coming weekend at the Marikina Sports Park, Marikina City.
Finals in the athletics, football, swimming, volleyball will kickoff tomorrow while medal events in badminton, chess, gymnastics, lawn tennis, table tennis, taekwondo and scrabble will take place on Sunday where winners are automatically qualified for the National Milo Little Olympics in Lingayen, Pangasinan on November this year.
A total of 5,892 athletes from 969 schools and institutions are participating in the event supported by Nestle Philippines, Inc., headed by Milo sports event AVP Pat Goc Ong, Milo sports executive Andrew Neri, marketing manager Sussie Aquino and SVP Michelle Calo Albarillo.
During the opening ceremonies attended by Marikina City Mayor Del de Guzman and Department of Education officials Dr. Noemi Bellosillo and Rose Ligaya Domingo, Our Lady of Perpetual Succor School Marikina City emerged with the biggest delegation followed by Parang Elementary School in the annual event organized by Dr. Robert Milton Calo in cooperation of McRobertz Sports Academy.
