Blackwater Elite leaves for Jakarta cagefest

-

MANILA, Philippines - Three former PBA players, including Ginebra’s Leo Isaac, will spearhead Blackwater Elite when it sees action in the Angsono Cup set July 16-19 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Joining Isaac in the team owned by former PBL chairman Dioceldo Sy are Bobby Jose and Joey Sta. Maria. Also being eyed to reinforce the team that will be handled by Johnson Martines and Silliman Sy is four-time MVP Alvin Patrimonio. The other members of the team are Bong Tan, Cobra Energy coach Lawrence Chongson, Achit Kaw, Raymond Uy, Norman Tan, Michael Lim and Rudy Yu. They will leave tomorrow.

“We hope we can convince Alvin to play for us,” said Martines.

They will be up against eight teams – five from the host country, two from Malaysia and one from Singapore.

“If Alvin can play, we have a good chance of winning the event,” said Dioceldo Sy.
