MANILA, Philippines - Running as a family affair takes on a new and exciting twist when the first Res/Toe/Run “Run for All” hits the road on July 24 at the picturesque yet challenging Nuvali eco community in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
“Running in the country has become a family experience so we have come up with an innovative fun run that will require the teamwork and cooperation of all participants,” said Res/Toe/Run brand manager Joy Austria in yesterday’s PSA forum at the Shakey’s UN Avenue branch in Manila.
“The team members will be composed of one child not older than 15 years old and one male and female adult runner each, who all may either be members of one family or friends,” Austria said.
She added that the adult runners must be 18 years old and above.
Unlike other fun runs, race director Neville Manaois, who joined Austria at the forum, said that the “Run for All” will be a relay starting with the child runner, who will negotiate a two-kilometer obstacle course in the open field.
The children will be handed a bracelet along the route as a sign that they have completed the race, which they will hand over to the female second-leg runners who must race through a three-kilometer circuit around Nuvali Lake.
