Manila International Marathon washed out

-

MANILA, Philippines - Due to inclement weather, organizers of the Manila International Marathon (MIM) slated tomorrow decided to reset the revival of the event on Sept. 18.

“With the rains showing no sign of letup, we cannot assure the safety of the runners and the field would be badly decimated. It goes without saying while the route is runner-friendly, the weather would take its toll at the times of the runners,” said organizer Dino Jose.

Participants are advised to keep their numbers and their singlets since the same will be used when the country’s first international marathon and first member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) is held.

Developments about the MIM will be posted regularly at the event’s website:manilainternational marathon.com.
