Rexona Adventure winner gains trip to Great Wall

MANILA, Philippines -  An all-expense paid trip to see the Great Wall of China will be up for grabs when Rexona hosts the Rexona Adventure 2011 Run at the SM Mall of Asia grounds on July 24.

Rexona brand manager Anne Remulla said they’re expecting some 12,000 runners to join the one-day meet which offers P10,000 purse for the 21-km race champion and a chance to experience an adventure of a lifetime at the historic Great Wall of China.

“We’re expecting a big turnout because we’re offering bigger and more exciting prizes plus other thrilling activities that will bring running to a whole new level,” said Remulla, a former La Salle volleyball player, in yesterday’s event launch at the Milky Way in Makati City.

“Of course, winners will have an adventure of a lifetime because we’re giving them an all-expense paid trip to see the Great Wall of China,” she added.

The top three finishers in the 10K division, meanwhile, will receive P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000, respectively, while 5K and 3K winners will pocket P5,000, P4,000 and P3,000 and P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000 plus a gift pack, respectively.

Registration is ongoing until July 23 at RUNNR and R.O.X. stores at Bonifacio High Street, Toby’s SM Mall of Asia, Planet Sports Glorietta and Trinoma, The Athlete’s Foot Alabang Town Center and Robinson’s Galleria and Stoked in Greenhills, Rockwell and Gateway.

Non-runners can also join the fun at the Rexona Run in the Rexona Adventure Hub happening July 23-24 if they could buy or bring any proof of purchase to a wide variety of activities and challenges that’s guaranteed to give the thrill of adventure.

Organizers are also holding a photo and writing contest for mainstream and online media with prizes ranging from P3,000 to P10,000 plus gift packs.
