MBC holds Clean-Up run

-

Manila, Philippines - Running clubs from PhilHealth, Hyatt Hotel and Casino, the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority, Philippine Marines, Coast Guard, La Salle, Manila Hotel and Grupong Quiapo are among the early entries in the Manila Bay Clean-Up run set July 17.

A project of the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) with the support of Smart Communications, M. Lhuillier and Enervon Multivitamins, the race will benefit efforts initiated by Land Bank and the City of Manila to harness support in containing pollutants that are fast damaging marine and coastal resources.

The event will also coincide with the 72nd anniversary celebration of MBC’s flagship radio station DZRH, the Philippines’ oldest surviving radio network.

Events on tap are the 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K for both men and women. Trophies and cash prizes will be given to the top three winners in each division – P20,000 in the 21K, P10,000 in the 10K, P5,000 in the 5K and P3,000 in the 3K. The fastest families of three to five members who start and end the 3K race together will win a special award. There will also be a prize for the biggest delegation or group that submits a minimum of 25 paying entries.

Registration is ongoing at the MBC lobby, Sotto St., CCP Complex, Pasay, and at the Recreational Outdoor Xchange (ROX) on Bonifacio High Street, Global City, Taguig.
