Pastor debuts in Euro NASCAR series
Manila, Philippines - Filipino champion driver Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor makes his debut in the Euro NASCAR Series, vying in the third leg in Zandvoort, Amsterdam this weekend.
Pastor, chosen from a roster of international Asian race car champions around the world, drives a 450-horsepower car similar to a Porsche Carrera Cup.
Pastor joins the race in tandem with other Macau GP World Touring driver Joe Merzcie and in coordination with the Philippine flagship Team Filipinas headed by Philippine Formula Autosports Foundation Inc. (PFAFI) president and motorsports icon, his dad Tom Pastor.
The Euro NASCAR Series had its first two legs in Nogaro, France and Aragon, Spain. The fourth leg is set in Magnicours July 2-3, followed by the Grand Hatch, UK leg Sept 1-2 then the Lemans, France stop Oct. 8-9.
The winners in these races gain sponsorship for the NASCAR USA World Series in 2012.
