NCA Big Event slated June 14 at Ynares
MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) holds its Big Event on June 14 with another top-notch roster of participants at the world-class Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao will field in two entries in the event serving as the last derby in the NCA calendar this year.
Meanwhile, “GE Jimafer” of Gerry Escalona and “JAC Marinduque” of Gov. Bong Carreon topped the recent NCA World Championship Derby with 6 ½ points each.
“Rachel Mitzki JU AS” of James Uy and Allan Siaco, “AAD Hitcock” of Gerry Ramos, and “MBJ” of Mayor Boyet Joson shared runner-up honors with six points while “Jade Resort 1” of Arman Santos, “Pleasant Drive” of the Cebu and Batangas Group, and “ESM” of Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado led the 5 ½ pointers.
“Tata Pete San Leo” of Mayor Ellan Nagaño, “Pasig Rizal” of Gov. Ito Ynares, “Pasay International” of Cong. Patrick Antonio, “IKA sa Pasay” of Albert Cruz and Ansel Cordora, “RV Ibaan-Deni” of Danny Mendoza, and “Whammy” of Philip Chiongbian finished with five points.
In fifth place with 4 ½ points were “JM Fantastic FTE” of Atty. Jun Mendoza, “SF Firefly 12” of Ernie Austria and Bebot Uy, and “June Bride” of Jun David.
Arman Santos pooled 56 ½ points to capture the NCA 2011 Cocker of the Year title. Eddie Gonzales scored 55 ½ points for second while Gov. Bong Carreon came in next with 51 ½ points followed by Gerry Ramos with 50 ½ points, and Osang dela Cruz and Tommy Chua with 49 ½ points.
