MANILA, Philippines - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa outscored Universidad de Manila, 102-96, in overtime to capture the basketball title in the SM-RCBC Mayor Alfredo S. Lim Summer Mini-Olympics at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila recently.
Reneford Ruaya, who forced overtime at 83, fired 26 points, while June Crespo added 17 points for Muntinlupa in the tournament organized by Fusion Advertising and the Manila Inter-Commercial Athletic Association and sponsored by RCBC, SM, ICTSI, Petron, Summit Water, Suntrust and SGV Foundation.
Camelo Arambala had 22 points and Cristian Quinonez added 21 markers for UdM.
On hand to award the winners were Dan Villaruel, who represented Mayor Lim, Councilor Niño Dela Cruz of District I, Manila Sports Council chairman Paul Edward Almario and Fusion chief John Tan.
