Magsakay tops ABC Founder's Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Violy Magsakay of Firefly-Royu annexed the Architects Bowling Club’s 34th anniversary Corporate Founder’s Cup Championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last Tuesday.

Buddy Segui of Emerald Pipes finished second followed by Eugene Panaguiton of Unitec Pipes, Nepthy del Rosario of DN Steel and Francis Figuracion of Crown PVC Pipes in that order.

Meanwhile, Lito Zubiri of Duraflex THW and del Rosario scored identical 1270s to lead the Group I qualifiers while Malou del Rosario of Firefly-Royu (1097) and Figuracion (1095) show the way in Group 2 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Zubiri shot an 1857 to pace the all-events Group I with Ariel Uy of Boysen Paints wresting control in Group 2 with a 1758.

Action in the event, backed by Boysen Perlecente/Knoxout/Suede, Philflex Cables, Crown Supreme Pipes, Duraflex TW/THHN Wires, Atlanta Pipes, Homeworks, Moldex Pipes, ABC Phils., Eurodach, Miraga Trading, HCG Phils., Concrete Ventures, ProActive Pest Control, Famcor Glassworks, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., Morning Sun and August Alliance, resumes at 3 p.m. today for the finals of the Masters event, also at the Green Valley lanes.
