Hendrawan leads Amity team vs Phl shuttlers

MANILA, Philippines - Former world No.1 Hendrawan will power the Amity Indonesia badminton team seeing action in a series of dual meets with three of the country’s elite badminton clubs.

Now coaching the Malaysian national team, Hendrawan shares the spotlight in the all-male Amity team with fellow Indonesians and former world No. 1 doubles player Harianto Halim Setiono (with Tony Gunawan), Yonatan Suryatana Dasuki, Loo Andreas, Yudianto and Slamet Tjahjo.

The team is in town to promote Amity badminton shuttlecocks, which are distributed in the country by DMC Columbus Mktg. Philippines Inc.

Organized by Bingo Bonanza, the dual meets are slated at 8 p.m. today at Smashville, Pasig City against Robinsons Land Corp.; May 27 and 28, 6 p.m. at Badminton City, Ormoc against the Ormoc Badminton City team; and on May 30, 4 p.m. at Centro Atletico, Quezon City against The Philippine STAR.
