Skidding Bulldogs try to rebound vs Archers

MANILA, Philippines - National U tries to check a two-game skid as it tangles with La Salle at the resumption of the Filoil Flying V Hanes Pre-Season Premier Cup at the Flying V Arena in San Juan today.

The Bulldogs swept their first four matches but bowed to Group A leaders San Sebastian and Ateneo and fell to third place.

The Green Archers, on the other hand, hope to improve their 1-2 record and deal the Bulldogs their third straight setback in the tournament.

In a key Group B match, Mapua (3-2) and University of the East (3-4) collide at 1:30 p.m.

Bobby Ray Parks is tipped to lead the Bulldogs’ bid again with the talented rookie Fil-Am hoping to keep the lead in the MVP derby with 303 statistical points.

The Green Archers, meanwhile, are coming off a one-month training in the US and try to shake off a long layoff.

La Salle dropped an 81-88 setback to the Stags last April 27 in their last game.

Meanwhile, ringside tickets for the Ateneo-La Salle match on June 4 have been sold out.

However, the lower box (P200) and upper box (P100) tickets are still available at all SM ticket outlets.
