NCA world derby under way

MANILA, Philippines - The World Championship Derby of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) begins today with a banner field of local and international breeders vying for top honors in the three-day event at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Rep. Iggy Arroyo, Pete Ison, Ellan Nagaño, Rudy Albano, Gerry Ramos, Ferdie Buensalida, Teng Rañola, Elmer Nepomuceno, Bebot Villar and Mario Villamor head the local roster whose top-notch entries will go against those of noted American breeders Larry Whitehead, Roger Roberts, Tom Wilson, and James Campbell, and Karl Stichert.

Others in the fold are James Uy, Patrick Antonio, Manny and Armand Santos, Rene Medina, Gov. Ito Ynares, Jun Santiago, Bebot Uy, Efren Canlas, JV Magsaysay, Ruel Ricafort, Danny Teves, Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz, Ricky Magtoto, and the Batangas and Cebu groups.

The other derby dates are on May 26 and 28.

Also invited to the event are Tony Lasala, Philip Chongbian, Lito Orillaza, Atong Ang, Boy Torres, Manny Kho, Sec.
