Derby at Elorde's

MANILA, Philippines - A four-cock derby dubbed Battle of Champions will be held starting at 7 tonight at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque.

Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde, the event offers a guaranteed prize of P300,000 with pot money pegged at P11,000. It is expected to draw more than 50 entries from Biñan and San Pedro, Laguna, Bulacan, Zapote, Cavite and Parañaque.

The winning handler and gaffer will receive P20,000 and P10,000, respectively. Weight limit is between 1.8 and 2.4 kg.

Submission of entry is from 6 a.m. to 12 noon.

Meanwhile, a One-Cock Ulutan will be held May 30. The fastest kill receives P3,000. Minimum bet is P3,300.
