PCCI hosts 35th-36th FCI dog shows

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Canine Club, Inc. (PCCI), the premier and pioneering pure breed canine registering body in the country, will host the 35th and 36th Federacion Cynologique Internationale (FCI) All Breed Championships May 28-29 at the PCCI Activity Center, Marikina City.

 Adjudicating the events are PCCI president and chairman Augusto Benedicto Santos III, PCCI director Ronnie Natividad, Cathy Delmar and Sean Delmar from The Irish Kennel Club.

 Santos is a PCCI and FCI international judge. He is also a current member of the FCI Task Force, which was formed in Bratislava. He has been exposed to dog shows since he was four.

Their family owned a German Short Haired Pointer who on record is the first sporting dog to win Best in Show in 1973 and the first dog to become a Philippine champion and a Companion Dog on the same day.

His ”Sunshadow Labrador Retrievers” is one of the main forces behind the success of the Philippine Labrador Retriever today.

 He has judged in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, China and Finland.

 Natividad is a licensed All Breeds judge of the PCCI, where he served as president for six terms. He is currently the chairman of the Affiliated Clubs Committee of PCCI.

He has judged dog shows in all regions of the Philippines, as well as in Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Australia, Thailand, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada. He was also responsible for bringing into the Philippines the renowned Bautzen Minpin Kennel of California.
